So far, the Constitutional Court has prepared officers for 24 hours to serve dispute registration. Employee working hours are divided into two shifts, each lasting 12 hours. The first shift will work from 07.30 WIB to 19.30, while the second shift will work from 19.30 to 07.30.
One of the legislative candidates who has submitted documents is Sungkono, a member of the DPR from the National Mandate Party (PAN) Faction, who is running again for a DPR seat in the East Java 1 Electoral District. However, based on the vote recapitulation results determined by the KPU on Wednesday (20/3/2024), Sungkono managed to obtain 66,020 votes, placing him in the second highest position. He was defeated by another DPR candidate from PAN, Afrizal Tom Liwafa, who obtained 69,020 votes.
“We already have copies of C1 documents, D results from the lower level to the sub-district, we are 838 votes ahead. If this is granted by the Court, the position will change because we have that data.”
Sungkono's legal counsel, Mursid Murdiantoro, stated that his party had filed a dispute regarding allegations of theft and vote inflation committed by other legislative candidates within the National Mandate Party (PAN). Based on calculations they carried out independently and supported by the evidence they have, the number of votes obtained by Sungkono lagged behind other legislative candidates who won the most votes in the electoral district, with a difference of 3,175 votes.

Mursid admitted that he had reported this problem to Bawaslu East Java since March 5, 2024, but did not receive an adequate response. He stated that recently, Bawaslu East Java asked Bawaslu Surabaya to follow up on the report, after some time there was no clear follow-up from the relevant parties.
Until registering the dispute with the Constitutional Court, Mursyid admitted that they had not attached a letter of recommendation from the chairman and secretary general of the party. "Our process is alreadyon goingtowards that. However, if the party chairman and secretary general do not provide recommendations, we suspect that this is just a party oligarchy match,” he revealed.
