Jakarta, LiterasiHukumCom – The Coordinating Minister for Legal Affairs, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, stated that the government has obtained clues regarding the whereabouts of two people who are still missing since the demonstrations at the end of August 2025.
However, Yusril emphasized that the government will not disclose this information to the public yet. He indicated that the two people were likely not directly involved in the demonstrations.
"We already have signs, we can know where the person is, but it is better not to reveal it yet," Yusril said in a press conference on Friday, September 26, 2025.
"It is also possible that they were not directly involved in the demo that took place yesterday," he added.
Yusril stated that an official announcement would only be made after the government had met directly with the two people to ensure their condition.

"We can only announce it when we have met (directly)," said Yusril.

Search Efforts by the Police
Previously, the police had affirmed their commitment to continue searching for the two missing people. The Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Brigadier General Ade Ary Syam Indradi, stated that his team had communicated with the victims' families.
"The team has communicated and met with their families," Ade said on Friday, September 19, 2025.
The Jakarta Metropolitan Police also opened public participation to provide information through complaint posts or a hotline at 0812 8559 9191.

"We are still looking for them (their whereabouts), we ask for your prayers," said Ade.
