Jakarta, Legal Literacy - The pair Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka have submitted an application as a related party to the Constitutional Court (MK) regarding the Presidential Election dispute. They did this in response to lawsuits filed by the pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and the pair Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md. The official registration was carried out by Prabowo-Gibran as a related party, as recorded in the MK's website on Monday (25/3/2024). This step was taken after the MK received registration of lawsuits from candidate pairs number 01 and 03.
"So there are 45 people on the Prabowo-Gibran defense team tonight, who have submitted letters of application to become related parties in the two cases submitted to the Constitutional Court," said the Head of the Prabowo-Gibran Defense Team, Yusril Ihza Mahendra at the MK building, Central Jakarta, Monday (25/3/2024).
Yusril stated that his team had submitted all the requirements requested by the MK tonight. These requirements include a power of attorney signed by Prabowo-Gibran, an Advocate Identity Card (KTA), as well as minutes related to it.
"Then the application letters have also been submitted, one each for one application, which has been declared complete by the registrar of the Constitutional Court and has been recorded in the registration," he explained.
Yusril stated that his team is currently awaiting the MK's decision regarding whether their application as a related party will be accepted or not. He believes that his team has the ability to provide answers to all the arguments put forward by the applicants.
"Furthermore, we will prepare answers to the applications submitted by the two applicants, and this must be submitted to the Constitutional Court on March 27th, and on the 28th according to schedule," he explained.
Prabowo - Gibran Submit Related Party Regarding Applications from Other Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidate Pairs

Previously, the application submitted by Anies-Cak Imin had been registered at the MK with Number 1/PHPU.PRES-XXII/2024. The registration was carried out on March 25, 2024 at 15.35 WIB.
There are 18 points in the petitum submitted by Anies-Muhaimin. The petitum is divided into two parts, with each part consisting of nine points.
Anies-Cak Imin asked the MK to annul KPU Decree Number 360 of 2024 concerning the Determination of the Results of the 2024 Election. They also asked the MK to disqualify Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka from the 2024 Presidential Election.
In addition, the MK has also registered the application for the dispute over the General Election Results (PHPU) of the President and Vice President of 2024 submitted by Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud Md. This application is registered with Number 2/PHPU.PRES-XXII/2024.

"To annul the Decree of the General Election Commission Number 360 of 2024 concerning the Determination of the Results of the General Election of the President and Vice President, Members of the House of Representatives, Regional Representative Council, Provincial Regional People's Representative Council and Regency/City Regional People's Representative Council Nationally in the 2024 General Election dated March 20, 2024, as long as it concerns the general election of the President and Vice President in 2024," reads point 2 of the Ganjar-Mahfud applicant's petitum.
In addition, Ganjar-Mahfud also submitted a request to the MK to disqualify the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka pair. Furthermore, Ganjar-Mahfud asked the KPU to hold a re-vote (PSU).
