Jakarta, Legal Literacy - The pair Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud Md have officially filed a lawsuit regarding the dispute over the results of the 2024 Presidential and Vice-Presidential election to the Constitutional Court (MK). The Ganjar-Mahfud lawsuit has been accepted by the MK.
According to information listed on the MK's website on Saturday, March 23, 2024, the lawsuit was accepted under application deed number 02-03/AP3-PRES/Pan.MK/03/2024. The submission document was issued on March 23, 2024, at 17:52 WIB.
The substance of this case concerns the dispute over the results of the 2024 Presidential and Vice-Presidential Election. This lawsuit was filed by H. Ganjar Pranowo, S.H., M.I.P. and Prof. Dr. H. M. Mahfud Md, S.H., S.U., M.I.P. as petitioners, while the General Elections Commission (KPU RI) and legal counsel Todung M Lubis are the respondents.
The lawsuit registration process was led by Chairman of the National Campaign Team (TPN) Arsjad Rasjid and Secretary of the TPN Hasto Kristiyanto. They brought in stacks of files and handed them over to MK officers.
Previously, the announcement of the vote count was made by Chairman of the KPU RI Hasyim Asy'ari in a plenary meeting at the KPU office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday, March 20. The recapitulation results of votes from all regions of Indonesia and PPLN were recorded therein.
Based on the official vote recapitulation results from the KPU, the Prabowo-Gibran pair obtained the most votes, namely 96,214,691 or 58.59%. The Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar pair ranked second with a vote acquisition of 40,971,906 or 24.95%.
Meanwhile, the Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud Md pair occupied the third position with a vote acquisition of 27,040,878 or 16.47%.
