Of the 22 convicts, three were first officers, namely one with the rank of First Lieutenant and two with the rank of Second Lieutenant. The convicts were also charged with restitution of Rp544,625,070.

The panel of judges stated that four soldiers—Pratu Aprianto Rede Radja, Pratu Ahmad Ahda, Pratu Emeliano de Araujo, and Pratu Petrus Nong Brian Semi—were sentenced to six years and six months in prison and dismissal. The Head of the Panel of Judges, Mayor Chk. Subiyatno, stated that the four were proven to have committed a criminal act in the service, intentionally hitting subordinates and hurting them in other ways that caused death, and were carried out jointly. The sentence against the four soldiers was said to be six months heavier than the military auditor's demand for six years in prison, accompanied by dismissal and payment of restitution.

In addition, the Commander of Company A of the 834/Waka Nga Mere Territorial Infantry Battalion (Yonif TP 834/WM) in Nagekeo, First Lieutenant Inf. Made Juni Arta Dana and Second Lieutenant Inf. Achmad Thariq Al Qindi Singajuru, S.Tr.(Han), were sentenced to nine years in prison and also dismissed.

The trial was led by Mayor Chk. Subiyatno with two member judges, Captain Chk. Dennis Carol Napitupulu and Captain Chk. Zainal Arifin Anang Yulianto. In the verdict, the panel of judges considered that the actions of the defendants could no longer be seen as educating subordinates, but had entered into a form of torture that resulted in the loss of the victim's life. The victim's mother, Sepriana Paulina Mirpey, stated that the family was satisfied with the court's decision and said they would oversee the process until the dismissal was carried out.
