Jakarta, LiterasiHukumcom – Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi finally spoke up regarding the revocation of the Palace Press identity card (ID) belonging to CNN Indonesia journalist, Diana Valencia. Prasetyo assured that he would seek the best solution to the incident carried out by the Bureau of Press, Media, and Information (BPMI) of the Presidential Secretariat. The Palace, according to Mensesneg, has scheduled a meeting with representatives from CNN Indonesia today, Monday (29/9), to build communication and resolve this issue.
"Yes, we will find the best way out," Prasetyo told reporters, Sunday (28/9).
He added that instructions to communicate have been given to the Press Bureau.
"So tomorrow, we have conveyed to the Press Bureau to try to communicate so that there is the best way out. Let's build communication together," he concluded.

Firm Stance of the Press Council

This incident has drawn a strong response from the Press Council, which has asked the Presidential Palace to immediately restore the coverage access of CNN Indonesia journalists. The revocation of this coverage ID occurred after journalist Diana Valencia asked President Prabowo Subianto a question regarding the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program in a catch interview session (doorstop).
