JAKARTA, LITERASIHUKUM.COM — The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) revealed that hundreds of millions of rupiah in cash, which were confiscated during a search of the house of Deputy Chairman of the West Java Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD), Ono Surono, were found in the person's private room in Bandung. This statement was conveyed by KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo, who emphasized that the location of the money's discovery is now part of the investigator's exploration in the alleged bribery case of project down payments in the Bekasi Regency Government.

Budi explained that investigators are still tracing the origin of the money and have not drawn a final conclusion regarding its connection to the case being investigated. From Ono's side, his legal counsel Sahli stated that the money was an installment savings belonging to Ono's wife. However, the KPK emphasized that such information will still be tested and further investigated.

The search of Ono Surono's house in Bandung was carried out on April 1, 2026. In the search, the KPK confiscated a number of documents, electronic evidence, and hundreds of millions of rupiah in cash.
