JAKARTA, LITERASIHUKUM.COM — The Military Police Center (Puspom) of the TNI has officially transferred the case files, suspects, and evidence of the hard water splashing case against KontraS activist Andrie Yunus to the Military Oditurat (Otmil) II-07 Jakarta on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. This step marks the completion of the investigation phase within the TNI Military Police and paves the way for the prosecution process in the military court.
Head of Information Center of the Indonesian National Armed Forces Major General TNI Aulia Dwi Nasrullah stated that, after the transfer, the auditor prosecutor will first examine the completeness of the files from the formal and material requirements. If declared complete, the case will be forwarded to Military Court II-08 Jakarta to be tried. The four suspects who were transferred have the initials NDP, SL, BHW, and ES.
The four suspects were previously announced as members of Denma BAIS TNI from the element of Indonesian Navy and Indonesian Air Force. The TNI has also detained them in a military detention facility maximum security Pomdam Jaya Guntur since March 18, 2026.
In this case, the TNI stated that the suspects are charged with assault charges. At the initial stage of the investigation, the TNI Military Police Center Commander Major General TNI Yusri Nuryanto also stated that investigators are still investigating motives as well as the possibility of order givers behind the attack on Andrie Yunus. This means that even though the files of the four suspects have been submitted, the investigation into the background and possible other actors has not been completely closed in the public explanation space.
This transfer to the military auditor is also an important phase in a case that has received widespread attention from the public and civil society groups from the start. This is because this case not only concerns serious acts of violence against an activist, but also touches on broader issues regarding the accountability of the apparatus, the transparency of military law enforcement, and guarantees of protection for human rights defenders. Up to this stage, the TNI has emphasized that the legal process is being carried out in a professional, transparent, and accountable.
