JAKARTA, LITERASIHUKUM.COMPolda Metro Jaya urges the public not to conduct convoys or takbir parades with vehicles on takbiran night. The authorities request residents to celebrate the night of victory in a more orderly and solemn manner at mosques or prayer halls in their respective neighborhoods in order to maintain security, order, and smooth traffic flow.

This appeal is in line with Polda Metro Jaya's stance in previous official news reports, which emphasized that convoy activities have the potential to trigger disturbances to public order and security, traffic congestion, and even traffic accidents. The police assess that takbiran on the streets, especially those involving vehicle processions, bring more risks than benefits, especially when the volume of vehicles during the Lebaran holiday season usually increases sharply.

In addition to asking residents not to hold convoys, the police also remind parents to supervise the activities of children and adolescents on takbiran night. The authorities assess that takbiran night often becomes a momentum for groups of teenagers to gather on the streets, which in certain situations can develop into illegal racing, the use of firecrackers, noisy mufflers, or other forms of commotion that disrupt public order.

Polda Metro Jaya also asserts that officers will remain on standby in the field to conduct patrols, security, and humane appeals to the public. In a number of similar moments, the police stated that police services continue to operate for 24 hours and the public can contact 110 if they need assistance or find security disturbances around their place of residence.

This policy direction indicates that the authorities want to maintain the Takbiran night as an orderly religious celebration, not to turn into a street crowd prone to friction and traffic violations. Therefore, the public is urged to prioritize the essence of Takbiran as a religious message, not a vehicle parade on the highway.
