Jakarta, LiterasiHukumCom – The Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Kapolri), General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, has taken a strategic step by forming the Police Reform Transformation Team. The formation of this team was inaugurated through the National Police Chief's Decree Number Sprin/2749/IX/2025, which was issued on September 17, 2025.
This team consists of 52 high-ranking and middle-ranking police officers who will be led directly by the Head of the Police Education and Training Institute (Kalemdiklat) Polri, Commissioner General Chryshnanda Dwilaksana.
According to the Head of the Public Information Bureau of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, on Sunday (21/9/2025), this initiative is a concrete manifestation of the Police's responsibility and accountability to the public. The aim is to strengthen institutional accountability and accelerate the reform agenda that has been planned.
"The formation of this team is a follow-up from the Police to work with the government and other stakeholders through a systematic approach," explained Trunoyudo. He added that this step is expected to manage the transformation of the institution so that it is in line with public expectations.
In its structure, the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo acts as Protector, while the Deputy National Police Chief (Wakapolri) Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo will act as Advisor.
The Police Reform Transformation Team is given a clear mandate, namely to prepare strategic policy directions, develop concrete programs, and ensure that the implementation of reforms runs effectively across all lines of the police organization. This transformation process is designed to be fundamental and broad, covering all work units and regions, and based on the 2025–2045 National Police Grand Strategy.
