Bojonegoro,LEGAL LITERACY - Students of the National Development University (UPN) Veteran East Java carry out MBKM Internship activities at the Bojonegoro District Attorney's Office which is located at Jalan Rajekwesi Number 31, Jetak, Bojonegoro District, Bojonegoro Regency, East Java.
MBKM-based internship (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) is an internship/work practice program that can be participated in by students of the Law Study Program who have completed a minimum of semester 5. This program is a form of university collaboration with industry to provide independent learning for students and add experience to develop their competencies. During this independent campus internship period, Faculty of Law UPN "Veteran" East Java sent two students, namely Moch Ilyas Akbar Rizki and Rizky Fajar Ramadhan, to carry out internship activities at the Bojonegoro District Attorney's Office.
In implementing the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program, students have the opportunity to take learning outside of their study program for one semester or the equivalent of 20 credits at an institution that matches their respective majors. The MBKM Internship takes place from February 19, 2024 to June 19, 2024. Students received explanations regarding various fields in the prosecutor's office, the main tasks and functions of a prosecutor, and an introduction to the prosecutor's office environment delivered by the Head of the Development Subdivision, Mr. Mohammad Hartono, S.H.
One of the activities attended by students was the Destruction of Evidence and Confiscated Goods. Evidence that was destroyed by the Bojonegoro District Attorney's Office included:
- 2.68 grams of methamphetamine from 3 cases
- 1,115 LL drug pills from 10 cases
- 28 Y drug pills from 3 cases
- 83 Xmer pills from 1 case
- 2 cellphones from 2 cases
- 1 sharp weapon in the form of a sickle from 1 case
- Rp100,000 counterfeit money totaling 6 sheets from 1 case
- Several types of clothing and liquor from two minor offense cases
Head of Section PB3R (Management of Evidence and Confiscated Goods), Mr. Darma Rejekinta Sembiring, S.H., said that the evidence destroyed was evidence from cases in the period November 2023 to March 2024. "The method of destroying evidence for narcotics such as methamphetamine and pills of the LL, Y, and Xmer types is to blend them. For counterfeit money, clothes and liquor we burn them, while cellphones we break them and then burn them too," said Mr. Darma Rejekinta Sembiring, S.H.
This destruction is a form of dedication to the community in law enforcement through the destruction of evidence by the Bojonegoro District Attorney's Office. MBKM internship students from the Faculty of Law, UPN Veteran East Java, gained direct insight and experience in carrying out the duties and authorities of the Prosecutor's Office in enforcing court decisions that have permanent legal force (Incracht). The MBKM Internship Program at the Faculty of Law, UPN Veteran East Java hopes that this activity will become formal and concrete proof of fulfilling the duties and authorities of law enforcement officials, thereby further increasing public trust in the prosecutor's office.
