The raid on the warehouse, which had been transformed into a drug factory, took place on Friday (10/4/2026) night.
Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Regional Police, Commissioner Artanto, confirmed the police action. He confirmed that this legal step was initiated directly by the Metro Jaya Regional Police with full support from the local regional police.
Regarding the construction of the case and details of the evidence, Artanto stated that the disclosure of the case is entirely within the realm of the Metro Jaya Regional Police investigation. Official publication regarding the legal status of the suspected perpetrators as well as the type and volume of narcotics produced will be conveyed directly by the agency leading the operation.
Building Camouflage and Arrest of Perpetrators
The silent police operation in the Wonolopo area was quite surprising to local residents. In the raid, investigators secured three people strongly suspected of being involved in a narcotics production network. One of the individuals taken by the authorities was a local resident who also had the status of building owner.
Based on the testimony of Ato, a resident around the scene, the warehouse owner has been known to have a friendly and open personality. Local residents were not at all suspicious because the building almost never showed the activities typical of a factory, such as vehicle traffic or loading and unloading activities.
This facility is known to have been established approximately one year ago. The building is predominantly a large open area on the ground floor, while the second floor contains only one room claimed as the owner's private space. Prior to the uncovering of this case, local residents even frequently utilized the building's area for group exercise activities and processing animal feed.
In addition to bringing in the suspected perpetrators, the police also confiscated a number of pieces of evidence from the crime scene. Residents witnessed officers securing equipment suspected to be instruments for narcotics production, as well as several tightly sealed packages. To date, investigators are continuing to investigate the findings in the field in order to completely break the chain of the dark network of drug trafficking.
